The 373th Bombardment Squadron Heavy was constituted on 28 Jan 1942. The unit activated on 15 Apr 1942. The 373th was assigned to the 308th Bombardment Group in CBI until its transfer to Okinawa where it was assigned to the 494th Bombardment Group. The 373rd was inactivated on 6 Jan 1946.
